Click here to download the schedule for the New Canaan GC’s 2018 Zone II Flower Show entitled “Iconic Style – A Design Legacy”. Show will be held at the Carriage Barn Arts Center in Waveny Park on Wednesday, June 13th and Thursday, June 14th, 2018. It is open to the public at no charge. As described in the schedule’s introduction, “Iconic Style – A Design Legacy” celebrates New Canaan’s distinctive architecture, landscape architecture and open spaces. Known for its charming colonials, grand estates, mid-century moderns, vast open spaces and formal gardens, there is certainly a varied and unique array of “Iconic Styles” in New Canaan.
From weeklong trips taking members far afield to day trips enjoying local treasures, the Visiting Gardens committee of the New Canaan Garden Club is a wonderful resource for members to experience fabulous properties, many of which are not open to the public, and to forge lasting friendships. The committee’s primary purpose is to educate members in garden history and design, horticulture, and the environment. The committee also facilitates club member visits to the gardens of other GCA club members throughout the United States as well as the gardens of GCA international courtesy clubs.
