Our Chew Crew left Irwin Park this morning, Tuesday, August 17th. During their regular site visit, our farmers saw that there was not enough vegetation left for the goats to eat. Since May, they have devoured our weeds daily.
Hats off to our “Green Machines” (from L to R, Shrek and Donkey, Cookie, Eddie, and Caramel) and to all the volunteers who have helped keep their water buckets full.
After three summers of “goatscaping”, we look forward to the final step of our chemical-free experiment. We will plant a pollinator-friendly meadow of grasses, native flowers, and some red Maple trees. Thanks to all our donors and interested onlookers for your support!
