Laura Wildman oversees the Ecological Restoration Program at Save the Sound. This program focuses on the implementation of nature-based solutions including green infrastructure, and coastal resilience project work throughout the Long Island Sound watershed.

The Arctic, is playing at the CT. Science Center on Saturday and Sunday April 27th and 28th. The center is connected to the CT Convention Center. The show runs about 40 minutes. Tickets are $6.95; press the link above for movie times and to buy tickets.
There is also special opportunity to hear Tom Campion, GCA 2024 National Medalist, talk about his work and the movie and see a free screening of the movie at 3:30 on Sunday, April 28th. See below for registration information for this exciting event.
- Those attending the Annual Meeting and staying on Sunday should amend their registration to include the movie and/or the dinner.
- Volunteers who would like to attend the movie can register through their volunteer registration form.
- Zone II members who are not volunteering or attending the meeting but would like to attend the dinner or movie, should register through this link. Non-GCA members can attend with you on Sunday afternoon, but please register them as well.

All Zone II Members are invited to attend a Dinner and Book Talk on Sunday, April 28th at the Downtown Marriott Ballroom from 5:30pm to 8:00pm, the cost is $75.
Join friends old and new for a "not-to-be-missed" evening featuring Melissa Newman speaking about her recently published book, Head Over Heels: Joanne Woodward and Paul Newman: A Love Affair in Words and Pictures, filled with never-before-seen family pictures. Melissa will also address her parents’ work with the Connecticut land trusts, the Hole in the Wall Gang, and her own husband’s work on the Save the Sound board.
Melissa Newman, an actress, artist, and singer, is the daughter of Hollywood screen legends Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward.
This dinner at the Hartford Marriott Hotel is open to all Zone II GCA members.
