On Thursday, June 8th, 2023 the New Canaan Garden Club will present its inaugural garden tour, Gardens in Bloom, featuring four beautiful, private New Canaan gardens. This is a self-guided tour which will be held 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., rain or shine.

Gardens In Bloom Tour A Success!
Inaugural Garden Tour: “Gardens in Bloom” was a Resounding Success! Thanks to so many supporters, volunteers and tour goers, our inaugural garden tour, Gardens in Bloom, was a fantastic day and an amazing success! We sold over 500 tickets in advance of the tour day. The tour featured four of our members’ gardens, all completely different in scope, size and style and we also showcased the wonderful public gardens at Waveny House which garden club members lovingly maintain. A festive Preview Party was held the evening before the tour at a fifth private home.

“A Tree Grows In New Canaan”

Preserving the Past, Growing the Future: Trees, Our Living Legacy, the theme of the Garden Club of America’s Centennial Celebration, was incorporated by our club with the planting of a Charter Oak (White Oak – Quercus alba) at Saxe Middle School on Arbor Day in April 2009. This gift to our town of a native tree also commemorated the 100th anniversary of the New Canaan Garden Club.
