    Class I—Vegetative Design
    Create a vegetative design* in a planter of your choice.
    *Vegetative design (FS&JG definition): A design presenting grouped plant material placed as it grows naturally (geographically, seasonally, and proportionally). Materials may overlap and intermingle as they do in nature.

    Ikebana Part II (Time, Location or Zoom TBD)
    We welcome back Shizue Pleasanton for a demonstration and workshop to learn the Japanese art of flower arranging, a modern form of an ancient art of sculpture with living materials. Flowers will be provided. Container should be purchased prior to workshop. Please bring your clippers. Cost: $50. Shizue Pleasanton is a graduate of the Sogetsu Ikebana School of Japan. She teaches at the Silvermine School of Art.

    Floral Design/Photography Sweeps
    “Next Station to Heaven Landmarks”

    Combined Floral Design and Photography Sweeps. Interpret a photograph that includes a New Canaan landmark (does not have to be a building). Floral arrangement and 8”x10” photo on a small easel to be staged side by side on a black draped 30” high table. No size restrictions for floral arrangement. Floral designers may partner with a photographer or the Floral Design and Photography Chairs will assign pairings. (Photos to be brought directly to meeting; no prior drop-off required.)
