Gardens In Bloom Tour A Success!

Inaugural Garden Tour: “Gardens in Bloom” was a Resounding Success!  Thanks to so many supporters, volunteers and tour goers, our inaugural garden tour, Gardens in Bloom, was a fantastic day and an amazing success! Pave Workshop

On April 25th, Floral Design co-chairs hosted a Pave workshop at Waveny.  Pave floral design originated from the French word Pave, which describes the way pavers, like cobblestones on roads are set tightly together.  This design technique is also seen in pave jewelry settings.  All participants created beautiful floral designs with an array of flowers, where blooms were cut short short and set tightly together just above the neck of the container.  Flowers in different color, texture and shape were placed in a flat, jewel-like pattern, where no mechanics or stems are visible.

New Provisional Class

Our 2022/23 Provisional Class was busy earlier this month constructing arrangements for our opening meeting and luncheon on Wednesday, September 14th. Prior to that at the September Board Meeting, the Board unanimously approved the Provisional Class Fundraising Project of a June 2023 Garden Tour! This is such an exciting opportunity for our Club! We will need everyone’s help for the event to be a success. Please see the write-up in the October newsletter for more details.
